The Yoga Nidra class takes you into a deeply relaxed state, finding a stillness and silence beyond the activities of the mind. Yoga Nidra is a state of consciousness reached by inducing complete physical, mental and emotional relaxation.
It is practised lying prone, following the spoken instructions of the teacher. You are taken to a state between sleep and wakefulness, where you maintain a conscious awareness at a deeper level, while remaining fully awake and alert.
This state of conscious awareness is extremely beneficial; for releasing stress, resolving suppressed conflicts or memories and for experiencing the joy of subtler spiritual explorations or experiences.
